Fortnite Game

Fortnite servers were down for five hours, but now the game is back online!

There was some bad news if you’re on winter break and hoping to play some Fortnite, as Epic Games battle royale shooter went down more than five hours on Wednesday — and this time it wasn’t to help expand the game’s lore. According to a tweet from its own status page, “Fortnite is currently unavailable and players are unable to log in while we investigate an issue. We’ll provide more info when we have a solution to bring services back online.”

A follow-up tweet at 3:10 PM ET from the team said they were “continuing to work on a fix that will bring Fortnite back online and appreciate everyone’s patience.” As of 6 PM ET, we hadn’t heard anything since, but at around 6:30 PM, ET players reported the game was working again, which we have been able to confirm.

The Fortnite Status Twitter eventually tweeted to confirm the game is back up, promising that next week (or, next year) there will be details on “what we’re doing to help you make up for a lost time.” It also noted some people might see an extra in-game present to open, but said the team is working on that.

Our own senior entertainment editor Andrew Webster reported struggling with the platform, which was telling many players, “You do not have permission to play Fortnite.” The company started investigating the issue at around 11 AM ET before the servers went offline entirely a couple of hours later.

When the servers initially went down, the Epic Games launcher wouldn’t even start Fortnite, showing the servers were offline, but later it would try to launch the game. Unfortunately, after launching, as many players have reported and we experienced in a test, it simply placed you in a queue for ten minutes or so and then failed to connect. Now, as of 6:45 PM ET, launching the game takes players right into action.

Around the same time the issue started, the Epic Games Store was also having problems, where some players said they couldn’t log in or even access their games for offline play. Now at least the Epic Games desktop launcher is working so you can still play other games on your PC.

Three Minutes From Victory!

However, it is a surprise that the troops of Dominique Ducharme seemed to reserve for their supporters with less than three minutes to play in the meeting. The CH then led 2 to 1. Then, everything collapsed. Corey Perry came to haunt his former team with a goal typical of those he scored in the blue-white-red uniform in the most recent campaign.

Then, while everyone consoled themselves at the idea of seeing Montrealers amass the famous communist point, Ondrej Palat threw a cold shower in the Bell Center with 38 seconds to go. Result: the Habs lost 3 to 2 without collecting a single point in the standings. In terms of a slap in the face, it’s hard to beat. or worse.

Frenzied Rhythm

As if that was not enough, the crowd, a little less sparse than usual, did not have the opportunity to boo copiously Nikita Kucherov to remind him of his condescending remarks towards him during the celebrations following the conclusion of the Stanley Cup final. Like Brayden Point, the Russian striker is sidelined with an injury.

Nick Suzuki, author of two points (1 goal and 1 assist), and his teammates played a meeting with an intensity that they have rarely seen in recent months. At times, it felt like they’d ripped a page out of Jon Cooper’s playbook. Zone exits and quick raises, the puck did not stay long on the stick of skaters dressed in red.

The Habs will therefore have played 57 good minutes. But as the cliché wants, to win, you have to give 60 good ones. Too bad, because for a rare time he looked like the team that reached the final, even though only eight players on the ice on July 7 were also in uniform on Tuesday.

They beat us in the final. We wanted to recover. I think we did a pretty good job the whole game. We generated a lot of chances to score. We had a victory at our fingertips, ”said Suzuki.

Unable To Buy A Goal

The Canadian could have held a thicker cushion late in the game if Artturi Lehkonen had been able to take advantage of two excellent scoring opportunities.

On the first attempt, he barely scratched the disc during a superb cross-over from Ben Chiarot. Then, in the third period, he escaped in front of Andrei Vasilevskiy. His shot had beaten the Russian, but the puck deflected onto the shaft of the goalie’s stick. One in a million chance.

Another Cripple

Christian Dvorak left the game after only two appearances in the second period. At this time, the severity of his lower-body injury is unknown. What we do know, however, is that his name is added to Hab’s long list of cripples. With Joel Armia and Jeff Petry, who weren’t in uniform on Tuesday night, the count.

Finally The Good Time

The third time was finally the right one for Laurent Dauphin. The Repentignois played the first match in the uniform of the CH after two white reminders. The Rocket’s top scorer (11 goals) played a very honest game. Dominique Ducharme sent him into the fray for 15 min 9 s. He started the match with Cédric Paquette and Michael Pezzetta. The game of dominoes caused by the absence of Dvorak allowed him to tread the ice more with Cole Caufield and Mathieu Perreault.

Detour Via Laval For Norlinder

In the morning, the Canadian announced the dismissal of Mattias Norlander to Laval. This demotion surprised many since the popular belief was that he could only play in Montreal or Frolunda, the team that holds his rights in Sweden. In an exchange of emails, JP Barry, the defender’s agent, clarified that this clause was held until December 1. He added that he and his client were still considering the possibility of returning to Sweden.
